It goes without saying that our dentists strive to provide exceptional dentistry at a great value for our patients. They are passionate about the art and science of dentistry and take great pride in their work.
What we have noticed is that many of our valued patients refer their friends and family to Avenida Dental Centre because of the personal care we provide.
We aim to make each dental appointment as comfortable and painless as possible with the understanding that some patients have dental anxiety and would prefer to avoid the dental office altogether.
Our focus on prevention and patient education is designed to help patients master their home care and enjoy optimum oral health.

Dr. Jayde Wiedemann
I grew up in Medicine Hat, Alberta. At the time it was a city of 55,000 but felt very much like a small town. After two years of study at Medicine Hat College, I moved to Edmonton to begin my dental education at the University of Alberta. Upon graduation in 2011, I decided to further my dental training by entering a general practice residency offered by the University of British Columbia. This program, based in Vancouver General Hospital, provided me with the opportunity to further my dental skills, knowledge and gain valuable insight in ways medicine and dentistry work together.
What initially attracted me to dentistry was a love of science combined with a significantly challenging technical component to dentistry. What I did not expect from a dental career was how much social interaction it would involve. This has become my favourite part of my job. I love chatting with and getting to know new people every day.
When I am not working, it is a safe bet I will be spending time with my wife and our two young children.
Dr. Bob Huff
I graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Dentistry in 1983 and opened the Avenida Dental Centre in 1990. I have been a full-time general dentist in this location ever since.
Becoming a member of the South Calgary community is a rewarding aspect of my career and I enjoy meeting the families we serve.
My wife Pauline and I have two children and one grandchild and love watching our family grow. I enjoy playing sports including golf, water skiing, curling, and skiing when I have time away from the office.
Dr. Colton Toy
I grew up in Calgary and moved to Edmonton to earn both my undergraduate degree and dental degree. I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and helping patients have smiles they feel proud of. I enjoy sports, especially hockey, baseball and golf. I also enjoy watching movies and playing guitar.
Dr. Christine Holko
I moved to Calgary from Montreal as a child and I am fluent in French and enjoy chatting with our French-speaking patients. I graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Dentistry in 2011.
I enjoy practicing all aspects of dentistry and working with patients of all ages.
When I am away from the office, I enjoy playing tennis, painting, going to concerts and travelling.
